Therapy is for Guys, too
Therapy available in-person in White Rock and virtually across British Columbia.
Let’s clear something up right away…
You don’t have to be “falling apart” to come to therapy.
A lot of men wait until things are really sideways before reaching out. Stress is through the roof, patience is gone, sleep is garbage and relationships are tense. Or you’re functioning fine on paper — job, responsibilities, showing up — but internally you feel checked out, irritable, or stuck in your own head.
Maybe you’ve been told to “just deal with it,” “man up,” or keep it moving. So you did. For years. And now your coping strategies are starting to turn on you.
Strong doesn’t have to mean silent.
Picture this instead: You’ve got space to talk straight without being judged, analyzed to death, or treated like a problem to fix. You understand your stress triggers, your patterns, and your emotional blind spots. You respond instead of snapping. You think clearer. You sleep better. Your relationships feel more solid because you’re actually in them — not just physically present.
You’re still you — just steadier, more self-aware, and a lot less wound tight.
No lying-on-a-couch movie-scene therapy.
No old-school therapy clichés.
No head games.
Who this type of therapy is for:
→ Men carrying a heavy mental load and pretending it’s “just stress.”
→ Professionals who are performing well but feel pressure, anger, or burnout building under the surface.
→ Husbands and partners who want to communicate better and stop having the same argument on loop.
→ Fathers who want to show up steady and present — not distracted, reactive, or emotionally shut down.
→ Guys navigating breakups, separation, or major life changes and trying not to lose their footing.
→ Men who’ve never done therapy before and want a practical, down-to-earth place to start.
Why Me?
I work primarily with women, yes — and I also work really effectively with men. Especially the ones who prefer honest conversations over fluffy talk and want practical tools, not endless nodding and “how does that feel?” on repeat.
I bring a direct, grounded, no-nonsense style mixed with real empathy and a bit of humour (because sometimes if we don’t laugh, we’ll scream). I blend evidence-based strategies with real-life experience, so what we talk about actually translates outside the office.
Sessions feel like straight-up, human converation supportive, focused, and productive where you can say what you’re actually thinking without being judged or managed.
