About Me
Amy Wasney, RPC-c
Welcome! I am truly happy you have made your way here. Whether through a recommendation, a psychology ad, or a simple Google search, I believe we have crossed paths for a reason, and I look forward to connecting with you.
My journey to becoming a clinical counsellor did not follow a traditional path. Instead of attending post-secondary right after high school, I set out to explore the world, living and traveling throughout Europe. Eventually, a desire to put down roots brought me back home to South Surrey, where I embraced adulthood—first as a wife and mother to three, and simultaneously as a driven professional climbing the corporate ladder. Without a formal education at the time, I had to work twice as hard, relying on grit, determination, and what I jokingly call my degree from "Google University." Before long, I found myself reaching the top.
But success in the corporate world came with both professional highs and personal lows. As I neared my forties, I felt a growing restlessness—a longing for something more meaningful, something different, something better. That realization led me here.
It wasn’t until I retired my ‘mommy wine glass’ that I was finally able to hear my inner voice clearly. Through my own journey of self-discovery, healing, and personal freedom, I uncovered an undeniable passion for helping others—helping you. I know firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate life’s transitions, struggles, and uncertainties. That’s why I am committed to providing a compassionate, supportive space where you can explore your own path to healing and empowerment.
No matter where you are in your journey, you are not alone. I am here to walk alongside you, to listen, and to help you discover the strength and clarity within yourself.
I look forward to meeting you and being a part of your journey toward wellness.
